Word is that Paul and Abdu have paid the fine for Abe and are waiting for all three of the officials to arrive to sign on the authorization paper for his release. Abe still does not know what is happening and is still in danger of beatings. Those of you night owls that are reading this, please continue to pray for Abe's safety, peace and hope and for a speedy release.
Loading of the desk parts on the lolley (truck) is in process and we are on our way to Bukeeka to the Fountain of Hope School to do the final assembly. Abe will not be released before we go so the next update will not be several hours.
It is anticipated that parents will visit the school today to see the desk operation. Most of them are Muslim. We are praying for opportunities to share Christ with them today. So that you know, in Uganda "Christian" is a loose term. Born-again Christian is the terminology used here.
Must go before they realize someone is not helping with the loading process. ;-)

"Night Owls"!! HA!! Did Jodi write that post and knew I would probably still be up and checking it? I was making my final check before bed! Still praying for everyone's safety! I know you all are going to have some amazing stories to share and we can't wait to hear them! See ya back on the home front soon!!
ReplyDeleteYour right, unless you are there it is hard to feel the maginitude of all taking place there. But reading the post daily, praying and seeing the Lord working things out answering prayers and the evidence that the prayers are answered is amazing.
ReplyDeleteDon, it was awesome to read about you honoring the opportunity to share the Lord in a very scary situation. I know the Lord is very pleased to see His children sacraficing, and totally trusting Him to protect them. I can't begin to imagine the changes that are taking place in your hearts, but being a part and following this mission to share the Lord with the lost in this world has been humbling and emotional, to say the least, right here from home. I pray a hedge of protection around ya'll and for God's plan to continue to unfold even after He returns ya'll to us safely!
