We have all arrived in one piece and in good health. Just a little bit tired. We're heading to bed now and will give details in the morning.
Update on our travel experiences: All of our flights went very smoothly. They all arrived early...must have been that tail wind. We wore our "Team Uganda 09" t-shirts and it opened many doors for opportunities to share what we are doing. It was amazing how many other people were on a mission trip to Uganda on that flight from Amsterdam. They were from multiple countries.
The first 8 hour flight took its toll on many of our group but they were able to rest better on the final leg. KLM took good care of us. When we arrived in Entebbe there was some confusion at Customs about our tools and supplies but our prayers and persistence got us through without having to "pay the man". They wanted us to pay a duty tax.
We were greeted by eight people from Next Generations Ministries and loaded our cargo up on the Coaster (between a bus and a taxi, like a shuttle bus at the airport), squeezed in all 20 of us , and then took about a 2 hour ride through the countryside, the middle of Kampala, and then on to Jinja. It was surprising how many people were along the roads at the shops. Paul told us they come out at night when it is cooler. We went through a couple of police check points, a new experience!
Upon our arrival at the compound, we were shown our accomodations and settled in for a welcome sleep.
