A fourth team is getting ready to leave for Uganda in two weeks! The Team Uganda 2011 consists of 4 former team members, Justin and Jodi Hurst, Don Neufeld and Byron Baum. Six new members traveling for the very first time are: Brenda Bartel, Trent and Sheri Martens, Sara Hurst, Dawn Unruh and Amanda Wiens. The projects we are planning this time includes some repair to the well and solar system that was installed last year, building at least 50 desks (possibly more) for the Fountain of Hope school at Bukeeka and painting the house that Paul and Pam Hunter live in at Jinja. We have been very busy collecting donations from different places. Sheri is a teacher at Cornelsen Elementary School and asked the children there to consider bringing some donated school supplies and/or clothing. We were overwhelmed when we went Wednesday morning for their opening and they showered us with box upon box of wonderful donations. When we sorted and packed everything they gave it filled 4 airline approved crates! We want to thank all the children and teachers who gave so generously from their hearts. We know the people in Uganda will be so appreciative of your generosity! We have also had many generous monetary donations for travel and other expenses and we say THANK YOU SO MUCH! We have been truly blessed.
Because of the generous donations we were able to buy 2 cases of Bibles to give away. We know that God's Word will not return void, so please pray with us for the people who will be receiving these Bibles, that God will reveal Himself through the pages as they read and hearts and lives will be changed because of it.
