Rain Too Much!!

We are having trouble with power outages each evening and it seems to happen each time we are getting ready to update the blog.  So this is from yesterday. The title of this blog is courtesy of Peter.  He kept telling us this while he was driving in a torrential downpour.   In the late afternoon, Sera came to us and said that one of her boys was not feeling well and that his stomach was hurting so bad that he couldn't stand.  So Ashlee, Melvena and Jodi took off with Peter, Jeff, Robyn and Hannah to go and check on him to see if maybe he should go to the hospital.  On the way there a huge rain storm came and POURED for about 30 minutes.  We couldn't hardly even see where we were going.  

Ashlee having a medical background checked Gabriel out to see if maybe he might be having an appendix attack.  By the time we got there he was already feeling much better.  We all laid hands on him and prayed for him and today he was able to go back to school.  On our way home we had to cross the Nile River bridge and this is what we had to drive through to get over the bridge!

Earlier in the day, before the weather got bad, Peter and Jeff escorted the ladies to the market to take a tour. Everyone enjoyed taking our time and looking at all there was to offer and visit with the people we encountered.  Muzungu's (White people) are always a point of interest for the native people.

This was the smelly part of the market.  They had stacks and stacks of dried smoked fish as well as fresh fish that was brought in from Lake Victoria each day.

This was a chicken dealer in a part of the market.  The ladies loved the sign and had to post it.  It wasn't the only person advertising that they are "covered with de blood of Jesus"

The men stayed at the guest house and worked on desks and hanging some doors for the closets in the guest house.  We are having such a wonderful time in worship and devotions each day and rekindling and developing new relationships.
