Pam was pleasantly surprised by the room transformation! As friends came during the day, she brought them in to show them the bright new gathering room!
Gary - a man on a mission packing some serious screw guns!
Gary and Leon continued to work on installing closet doors in the guest rooms.
Justin and Peter continued to paint bases for school desks
In the afternoon the ladies visited Amani Baby Cottage. We spent time holding babies and playing with toddlers. There may not be enough arms to hold all these children, but we know that God's arms are big enough to hold them all!
As soon as we walked in the children began 'swarming' us. They were so happy to have hugs and laps to sit on. Little did they know, their hugs brought much more joy to our hearts.
We brought baby blankets made from ladies at home and they were so appreciated. The director of the orphanage shared with us that they try to give each baby their own blanket and they keep it as long as they are at the orphanage and they give it to them to keep when they leave.
When we arrived home, Grace, our wonderful cook had a 'down-home' meal prepared for us: Fried Chicken, Mashed Taters & Gravy & Corn. We finished the evening off with Jeff sharing Scripture with us and teaching us a song in Lugandan. God is good!
awww...I wish I could be there to snuggle those babies with you ladies!! How precious! Praying for you all!!
