Initial visit to Fountain of Hope School

The Ladies of our Team visited Fountain of Hope School in the village of Bukeeka the first Monday of the Trip. We split into groups of two and visited the classrooms to evaluate their learning environments and their educational needs. We discovered they only had 8 desks that that seated 4 students each. The enrollment of the school is over 550 and the rest of the students sat on either benches or on the floor. It was evident that the desks being constructed back at the Compound were going to be a welcome addition to the school. We stayed through their lunch time and interacted with the children and the faculty.
